Every year, around the first of August, shorebirds begin moving through central Oregon. Being birds of water, they often stop by the sewage ponds north of town.
This Wilson’s Phalarope was no exception.

This is a really cool photo. I love how the sections (and division) of algae draw your eye and attention to the bird. It also sets the bird off in the photo. Very nice!!!
