Recently, I took possession of Canon EOS 60D. Unfortunately, there were some problems with the camera and I returned it for exchange. I received the replacement a week ago, but my best lens developed problems and I sent it in for repairs.
Well, Tuesday the lens was returned to me, so I stuck it on the 60D and went to the door. Sitting on the top of our fence were a pair of Eurasian Collared Doves. So, shooting through the window of the door, I got my very first shot with the new system.
I am not a fan of these birds. They are not native to North America and are taking over everything. But they are nice looking birds.

They are pretty doves, great shots!
Bummer that they are taking over everything, as they are very pretty.
Several years ago, I had a backyard full of mourning doves and some occasional Inca doves and one pair of collared doves. Now I have a backyard full of collared doves, rarely see an Inca and have a couple of Mourning doves who are willing to *fight it out* for some of the buffet.
Nice shot, don't see them as often these days.
we only see them rarely here (so far). they are gorgeous!
Beautiful photo.
Regards and best wishes
