Camera Critter #114

When I lived just outside a small town east of my current location, I would see Brown-headed Cowbirds two or three times a month. After all, they are a rather common bird in central Oregon.

However, since moving to Redmond, I hadn't seen a Brown-headed Cowbird at all...until last Sunday. Not only did I find a male at my feeder, but I also found a female with him

Male Brown-headed Cowbird

Female Brown-headed Cowbird

Misty Dawn's Camera Critter Meme is a great way to see critter from around the world. Go to the homepage here and check out more photos. Then add your own and join the fun.

Great photos of the Cowbirds, they are such pests. Neat survivial traits though. Have a wonderful weekend.

Pesky little guys, but lots of fun to watch.

Great photos of the Cowbirds. We get them here in Virginia. I just posted a great website I found on my Camera Critters post, which is great for a novice like me. I don't know too much about identifying bird songs and they have some really neat videos. I think your blog is great and I am learning a lot here too, thank you.

Great shots as usual, I've come to expect exceptional shots on your posts. Seeing a bird that you haven't seen in a while or at all is a great thing and to capture them in images is even nicer.
