Camera Critters #63

As most people who have read my posts here know, I love shooting the local lizards. So once again, it's time for the four-legged, prehistoric looking critters I love so much.

I noticed this Great Basin Fence Lizard sunning on the rocks about 12 feet above in a rocky area of the Dry Canyon Trail in Redmond. He was kind enough to strike a pose for me.

This Great Basin Fence Lizard decided to stop and say hi to me...either that or he was trying to figure out what that big, long black thing sticking out of my head was.

And finally, one of the better looking reptiles in the Dry Canyon is the Side-blotched Lizard.

Misty Dawn's Camera Critter Meme is a great way to see critters of all types. Go to the Meme homepage here and check out more entries. Then join the fun and let the world see your critters!

I like to chase lizards but I don't like it when they bite me!

Neat looking guys with great camo. I like the one with the orange belly.

Great shots! Never tried photographing lizards, but I'll bet it requires a stealthy approach!

Very cool! We have no lizards near where I live, so I loved these fellows--especially the colours of those side-blotches. Your shots are so good it does seem they posed for you: thanks for sharing these!

As you already know... I don't care for these photos or any of your lizard photos much.

I LOVE them!!!!

I love that last one.. sides of rusty red. I don't mind the lizards... but the snakes.. no... those give me the shivers.

Those lizards are awesome !!

We have some interesting ones around here, but you have to get out into the desert to photograph them. That's on my list of where to go :-)

first of all, Sir, thank you for your service to our great country. My father was in the army air force in WWII. I so appreciate that many have sacrificed much and some have sacrificed all. May God bless you

See, if I didn't know any better I could have misunderstood your love of 'shooting lizards. Fortunately for all of us, especially for the little critters you use a camera to shoot them. Phew!
Nice shots and well spotted. They are well camouflaged ;-)
